The color scheme for the villain Blazer is red and black. They go together well and have similar qualities. Red was used because it is linked to aggression. Seeing a red hue on this character can also increase energy and enthusiasm. His power is fire and red is a common representative of fire. Blazer posses a lot of rage so black was used to give him a darker edge and create a more sinister feeling. Black is authoritative and powerful which are two reasons why many villains have black on their costume. This black hue causes a mysterious evoking sense of potential and possibility. Also, while red is a powerful color on it’s own, black adds a sense of darkness to the character giving him an ominous presence.

Blazer is shown surrounded by flames to help illuminate his dark side and contrast his color scheme.
His power is that he is able to control fire so the flames also help support this. The colors and shading of Blazer are intended to be similar to the lighting from a fire. The flames help him to appear more ominous and give him a more powerful presence.
The design of Blazer is triangular based. His arch enemy Blizzard is more rounded and circular. This is because a circle is complete or whole which represents goodness. A triangle is a more angled, sharper design. This represents Blazer well because he is more dangerous and he is the villain between the two. A triangular shape can be used to show speed and evil intentions.
The hue used for Blizzard was blue because it’s seen as trustworthy, dependable, and committed, which are qualities that almost every superhero out there possesses. Also blue is perceived as a constant in our lives. Blue is an excellent color for a superhero because it creates a calming and relaxing feeling. I used a brighter blue to make the character stand out so you would focus on him more and have everything behind him fade into the background. It also helps to bring out his color saturation.

The hero has light shadows that are only a dark shade of blue. This allows the character to remain bright and gives a sense of good. The shading was only him and he is shown at an upward angle which is used to symbolize how much power the hero has. Blizzard possesses the power of water which his color scheme reflects, and the water he appears to be shooting up from shows this as well.
Blizzards design is more rounded in comparison with Blazers. This is because a more rounded figure appears less dangerous. A circle has no edges, it is complete and thats why it is often used in representation of good and just. Also, Blizzards design being rounder contradicts the sharper, triangular shape of Blazer. This parallels their rivalry and hatred towards each other.
